(L-R) SAFESA Commisioner Tanuvasa, SVSG President Siliniu Ms. Lina Chang, SAFESA staff.
The Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) warmly acknowledges the Samoa Fire and
Emergency Services Authority (SFESA) for their meaningful visit today to the children at the
Campus of Hope, led by Commissioner Tanuvasa
During the visit, Commissioner Tanuvasa shared his Christmas message with SVSG, reaffirming SFESA’s commitment to partnership and collaboration.
He emphasized that this visit was a way to revive and strengthen the relationship between the two organizations, noting that “SFESA is only one phone call away should SVSG need support”, and that ensuring a safer Samoa is not the work of one organization, but a collective effort.
SFESA’s visit followed their Christmas Parade held yesterday, continuing the festive spirit
by bringing joy directly to the children at the Campus of Hope.
The Authority generously donated $1,000 tala, along with a large supply of food and essential items to support the children’s daily needs.
The team also performed Christmas carols and spent quality time with the children, creating a warm and uplifting family atmosphere.
SFESA shared that every year, their work is placed in God’s hands through weekly fasting and prayer, with staff members also contributing personally from the heart into collective
savings — a reflection of faith, discipline, and service that guides their role in the community.
Widely recognized for their vital role in saving lives and protecting communities across
Samoa, SFESA also demonstrated the compassion behind the uniform.
Their presence inspired many of the children, with some expressing dreams of becoming firefighters in the future, motivated by the example set before them.
Our SVSG President Siliniu Lina Chang shared with joy
“Today’s visit by SFESA is a powerful reminder that protecting lives goes beyond emergency response.
It is about standing together, showing compassion, and walking alongside our children and families.
We deeply appreciate Commissioner Tanuvasa and the SFESA team for reaf irming their partnership with SVSG — this unity and shared commitment is what truly builds a safer Samoa.
”
SVSG extends its sincere gratitude to Commissioner Tanuvasa, the SFESA management, and
staff for their generosity, faith-driven service, and continued commitment to protecting and
uplifting Samoa’s most vulnerable.
