The Manu Samoa one-off rugby test match against Japan received a rousing send off boost from All Black legend Sonny Bill Williams in a luncheon this afternoon at the Netball Gym at the Tuanaimato Sports Complex.
New Zealand’s famous international rugby hero with a strong Samoan heritage flew in especially to attend the Manu Samoa fundraising farewell luncheon as the quest speaker today, Thursday 13 July 2023.
Manu Samoa coach Vaovasamanaia Seilala Mapusua and his Manu Samoa team are off on the first of 4 rugby internationals in the national side’s build up for the World Cup 2023 in France.
The Manu Samoa play Tonga and Fiji in Samoa on the return from Japan before their final warm match up against France in France.
Today’s fundraising luncheon enjoyed a large turn out at $3,000 a table.
